*The Easons’ Story

Our family’s farm story begins around a core value--conservation.

In 2004, Larry and Pat Eason purchased the farm to protect the land and wildlife from developers. Home to deer, turkey and the seasonal influx of trumpeter swans, the land possesses an undeniable natural value. Recognizing that fact, the Easons founded E & W Wildlife Refuge on the southwest area of the farm along Hays Road. Today, this bend in the road has become a favorite destination with locals and visitors for viewing the trumpeter swans.

Hoping to build upon his parent’s conservation foundation, their son Brian Eason made a decision in 2007, following his father’s death: He decided to re-establish the farm as a working agricultural operation.

From the start, Brian has developed Heritage Farmworks as a traditional family farm, dedicated to sustainability, the preservation of endangered livestock breeds, conservation and food excellence.

And in between all the philosophical talk, a lot of hard work and sweat equity. Thousands of feet of fencing divide specially-designed paddocks, pasture and barn yards. Renovated barns and outbuildings sport reclaimed wood from the farm. To increase access throughout the property, roads were carefully carved out of the landscape.
The Easons have also planted hundreds of fruit and hardwood trees, harvest hay and grow their own sorghum silage.

Today, Heritage Farmworks is proud to offer pork and beef products throughout the local Mid-south region, thus increasing local access.

With food origin increasingly becoming more important, Heritage Farmworks values strong relationships between farms, customers and food.

Welcome to the Heritage Farmworks family.
