Troy Hopkins, 86, of Cedarville died Sunday, June 22, 2008, in a local hospital. He was a self-employed brick mason, a resident of Cedarville and of the Baptist faith. He was a former member of Crawford County Mounted Patrol and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Hopkins; both parents, James and Dorinia Hopkins; a brother, Wesley Hopkins; and two sisters, Lillian Kylander and Hazel Lomax.

He is survived by a son, Troy W Hopkins of Cedarville; a sister, Ruby Mayo of Oakland, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Cody Hopkins of Marshall, Dusty Hopkins of New Orleans and Rowdy and Stonie Hopkins, both of Van Buren.

Pallbearers were Cody, Dusty, Rowdy and Stonie Hopkins, T J Brown, Lowell and Butch Barnes, Bruce Jones, David Brodrick and Bill Vickery.
