Charles Stanley Monnier, 67, Rogers, died Feb. 19 at Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born March 23, 1908, at Warren, Ill., he was the son of Charles A. and Mayme Monnier and a member of Rogers Presbyterian Church. He graduated from the University of Illinois in 1938 with a degree in engineering; was a veteran of World War II, a division engineer of the Federal Highway Department, Springfield, Ill., a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, a member of the Kiwanis Club, Ansar Shrine and Consistory.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruth Monnier of the home; one son, Allen Monnier, Sudbury, Mass.; one sister, Mrs. F.T. Rockwood, Elmhurst, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Callison Chapel, Rogers, with the Rev. William Rail officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Callison. Visitation hours will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until time for the service.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, Little Rock.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Ruth H. Monnier, 98, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Rogers, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010. She was born Ruth Eloise Hoffman on Nov. 27, 1911, in Tremont, Ill., the daughter of Myrtle and Phillip Hoffman.
She married C.S. "Stanley" Monnier in 1935 and he preceded her in death in 1976.
She is survived by her son, Alan, of Connecticut; and two granddaughters, Michelle Lea Szydlo, of Connecticut, and Nicole Monnier, of Columbia.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, and in recognition of her lifelong love of animals, donations can be made to Columbia Second Chance Animal Shelter (P.O. Box 10186, Columbia, MO, 65205).
