Obituary for Donna Kay Guevara:

Donna Kay Guevara, 44, of Viola, daughter of Velma Jean Davis Box and the late Ernest Box Jr., was born July 28, 1959, in John Day, Oregon.

She died June 9, 2004, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.

She married Joe Meece in 1979, at Baytown, Texas. She later married Victor Guevara in 1986, at Liberty, Texas.

She was a member of Immanuel Southern Baptist Church of Salem.

Survivors include her children -- Shawn Jason Meece, Bobby Joe Proctor and Tony Lee Guevara of Highlands, Texas; her mother, Velma Jean Box of Highlands, Texas; her fiance, Pete W. Mott Sr., of Viola; sisters -- Theresa Dunham of Viola, and Carol Nettles; of Highlands, Texas; brother, Steve Box of Highlands, Texas; and two granddaughters; Jacey Proctor and Bailey Meece of Highlands, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Victor Guevara.

The funeral was held on June 11 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Salem, Ark., with burial following in Viola Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Cox-Blevins Funeral Home of Salem.
