FAYETTEVILLE — Glen Riggins, 77, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, in Fayetteville. He was born Aug. 1, 1933, in Asher, Ark., the son of Noah Daniel and 0llie Ledford Riggins. He was a member of the Round Mountain Community Church for 55 years, where he served as Sunday school teacher, deacon and church secretary and treasurer. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He served as chief of police for Fayetteville Police Department and also served in Judge William Storey's court room as court service officer.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie McCawley Riggins of the home, whom he married Dec. 2, 1956; his son, Dale Riggins and wife, Yolanda, of Fayetteville: his daughter, Becky Carter and husband, Larry, of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jennifer Minard and husband, Brandon, Amber Mobbs and husband, T.J., Kari Cantrell and husband, Mark, and Alyson Carter; along with three great-grandchildren.
