Leta Bryles Fisher, 90, of Beebe, Arkansas, died Sunday, May 1, 2011.
Leta was born in Hickory Plains, Arkansas on September 3, 1920, to William and Addie Stanley Bryles.
In 1939, she married John Byron Fisher who preceded her in death in 1980.
Leta was a very diligent, enthusiastic woman, helping her husband build houses for rent and sale. She helped to open Beebe Variety and worked there until it closed.
She then went to work with her son, Johnny, with Fisher Rentals and Construction. Leta was an excellent cook, housekeeper and seamstress and a very organized person.
She was a member of Beebe First Baptist Church and she contributed to many organizations in the Beebe area.
She was a spirited person who enjoyed life and her family.
Leta is survived by her daughter, Alice (Robert) Andrews of Syracuse, New York; three grandchildren, April Dawn Fisher of Beebe, Nathan Andrews of Syracuse, New York, and Brian (Jennifer) Andrews of West Palm Beach, Florida; one brother, Mark Bryles of Blytheville; one sister, Nelle Bryles Fairweather of Altadena, California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, John Bryles Fisher and several brothers and sisters.
Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
Funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial in Beebe Cemetery.
