Prairie Grove -- Charles (Link) Vickery, 75, of Route 1, Prairie Grove, died Wednesday in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Dec. 13, 1897 at Dutch Mills, the son of Jim and Emma Padgett Vickery, he was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Ollie Phillips Vickery of the home; four sons, C.L. of Springdale, Rue of Red Star and L.V. and Olan of Prairie Grove; three daughters, Mrs. Oma Smith of Bethany, Okla., and Mrs. Lillian Barnes and Mrs. Norma Brockman both of Prairie Grove; one brother, Bill of Prairie Grove; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Russell and Mrs. Martha Tenny of Muldrow, Okla., and Mrs. Dovie Cooper of Prairie Grove; 26 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the New Sulphur Baptist Church with burial in Scott Cemetery under direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
