BEASLEY, Margaret Jane FITZGERALD - Margaret Jane Beasley, wife of Tom Beasley, residing north of town, died Sunday morning about eight o'clock, the result of paralysis of the brain. Mrs. Beasley was in her accustomed health Saturday evening and her sudden death was a great shock to her family and friends. Soon after the attack came she lost consciousness and lived only a few hours. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Robinson, a minister of the M.E. church of this place, and the remains were interred in the old Fitzgerald cemetery north of town. Deceased was about fifty-four years of age and was one of the old settlers of this vicinity, being a daughter of the late "Uncle Ann" Fitzgerald, a well-known character who will be remembered by the older residents of the community. Besides a husband deceased is survived by eleven children, nine sons and two daughters, all of whom were present at the funeral. The children are Bob, Ed, Mrs. Lottie Smith, Mack, Hugo, Rosco, Otto, Katie, Pete, Cash and Orpheus, the latter two being twins. These, with the daughter Katie and Rosco, are the only ones left at home. The family of the deceased request that The News express to the neighbors and friends their sincere gratitude for the kindnesses shown them in their affliction.
