Hettie Opal (Gill) Pettus age 80 of Searcy, Arkansas born January 8, 1929 went to be with the Lord December 23, 2009. She was a charter member of Chapel Lane Free Will Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, F.C. and Deana (Horton) Gill; son-in-Law, Waymon Pearson
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wendell G. Pettus; one son, Gary Pettus and his wife Kathy of Searcy, AR.; one daughter, Judy (Pettus) Pearson of Rose Bud, AR.; one brother, Fonnie C. Gill of Rose Bud; two granddaughters, Lisa (Pearson) Wittig and her husband Robert of Ft. Smith, AR. and Shelly Parish of Springdale, AR. also, five great grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family members and a host of friends all who loved her dearly.
Visitation will be 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. prior to the funeral service which shall begin at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 26, 2009 officiated by Rev. R.H. McCuin at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Elton Culwell, Lee Culwell, Rick House, David Pettus, Robert Wittig and J.D. Price. Honary Pallbearer Lane Culwell.
Interment will follow the service at Romance Cemetery in Romance, Arkansas
