Carmel Madison Manning (Preacher Manning) 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2007. He was born June 21, 1941, to the late Neva and Collin Manning. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Letha "Marquita" Manning, a daughter, Darla Brooks, Grandson Cory Lewellen, a sister Naomi Turpin, brother Verlon Manning and wife Doris, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
Carmel was a retired pipe liner after 45 years of service, a member of Country Valley Christian Church in Searcy, 32nd degree Mason of the Romance Masonic Lodge #41, and the Oklahoma Operating Engineers. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Chapel. Viewing will be Friday, November 30th between 6:00 and 8:00 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Romance Cemetery.
