SPRINGDALE — Arthur Nally, age 90, of Springdale died July 4, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale.
He was born Oct. 23, 1920, in Newport, Ark., the son of William and Ruth Middlebrook Nally. He was a graduate of Williams College of Seminary and had worked in the ministry in California and Arkansas. After retiring, he participated in nursing home ministry. He attended Elmdale Baptist Church and was a past Sunday School teacher.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Nally, in 2004. He was also preceded by one son, Mack Arthur Nally, one brother and four sisters.
Mr. Nally is survived by three daughters, Cathy Franke and her husband, John, of Springdale, Linda Muir and her husband, James, of Sacramento, Calif., and Hope Thompson and her husband, Dwight, of Fayetteville; four sisters, Ruby Garrison of Elkins, Lorene Cheshier of Fayetteville, Ferris Roberts of Fayetteville and Jinny Powell of Florida; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 8, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Elmdale Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tom Shaw and Brother Jeff Rhoades officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 7, 2011, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dwight Thompson, Sam Martin, Jeffrey Franke, Daniel Martin, Jacob Martin and Robert Glasco.

SPRINGDALE - Dorothy M. Nally, 79, of Springdale died Sept. 8, 2004, at Springdale. She was born July 24, 1925, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to William Gregg and Hettie Smith Bryan. She was a homemaker and a member of Elmdale Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and quilting. She was preceded in death by one son, Mack Arthur Nally.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Arthur Nally of the home; three daughters, Cathy Franke and husband John of Springdale, Linda Muir and husband James of Sacramento, Calif., and Hope Thompson and husband Dwight of Fayetteville; one sister, Dorcas McMath of Newport; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grardchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale with the Rev. Tom Shaw and the Rev. N.C. Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale.
Visitation will be from 5 to p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Franke, Dwight Thompson, Sam Martin, Jeff Franke, Mack Roberts and Jerry Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's Adult 7 Sunday school class at the church.
