Thomas "Duce" Lee Warden, son of the late James Olen and Argie Vira (Couch) Warden was born on May 6, 1939, at Day, Arkansas. He departed this life May 29, 2004, at Wiseman, Arkansas, at the age of 65 years and 23 days.

Duce spent his working years as a father, grandfather, and a heavy equipment operator (he was self-employed for many years and then later for the Izard County Road Department). He attended church at the Oxford Church of Christ and was a member of the New Franklin Masonic Lodge #350.

He leaves to mourn his passing:
Son: Ken and wife Marti Warden of Salem, Arkansas.
Daughter: Denia and husband Stacy Horton of Ash Flat, Arkansas. Brother: Kenneth "Dock" Warden of Brockwell, Arkansas.
3 Sisters: Geneva Moser of Edwardsville, Illinois; Estella Lewis of Glen Carbon, Illinois; and Charlotte Branscum of Collinsville, Oklahoma.
4 Grandchildren: Rachel Ann Horton, Jake Horton, Shelby Warden, and Sarah Warden. also many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson (Kaleb Horton), brother (Tillman "Dutch" Warden), and 2 sisters (Devene Blevins and Eudine Deal).

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at 1 pm at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, AR.

With Bro. Virgil Ferrell, Dwayne Warden and Jim Kyle officiating.
Pallbearers were Wayne Nunnery, David Nunnery, Rocky Warden, Steve Warde, Mike Warden and Byron Price.

Honorary pallbearers were Gerald "Doc" Taylor, Paul Weaver, James Smith, Bill Blevins, Don Whited and Doug Sipe.

Interment was in the Wiseman Cemetery at Wiseman, AR with Barker funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
