Mr. Faber S. Shearer, age 93, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2006, at the Golden Living Center in Heber Springs. Born September 6, 1913, at Wilburn, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Jess and Eunice (Foust) Shearer.
A lifetime resident of Cleburne County, Mr. Shearer worked as a carpenter and cabinet marker in his younger years and was retired from Heber Springs Wholesale. He was a Mason and a Shriner as well as a member of the Eastern Star. Mr. Shearer was an avid gospel music fan, and he was a member of the South Cross Roads Church. He was preceded in death by his wives, Zora Butler Shearer and Alta Dixon Jolly Shearer; two daughters, Loretta Larimore Wilson and Faye Jowers; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Jean Westring of Grantsville, Utah; one sister, Anna Beatrice Tharp of Florida; two stepsons, Billy Dixon and wife, Carol, of Heber Springs and Clyde Dixon and his wife, Juanita, of Indiana; one stepdaughter, Dorothy Stark and husband, Wetzel, of Heber Springs; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews.
