William Eldon Oldfield, 82, of Morriston, died May 18, 2004, at his home.
Born April 1, 1922, in Morriston, he was the son of Willie Wiley Oldfield and Nora Taylor Oldfield.
He married Clercie Goodson Oct. 3, 1944., in Senath, Mo. To this union a daughter was born.
He was employed by Essex Wire in Sycamore, Ill., as a foreman where he retired after 25 years. He was a member of Morriston Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law -- Rita and Ronnie Blanton of Wiseman; a grandson and his wife -- Nick and Carla Blanton of Slaem; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a sister, Ruth Parrott Holloway; and his parents.
The funeral was May 21 at Cox-Blevins Chapel. Burial was at Wiseman Cemetery with Cox-Blevins Funeral Home in charge
