Wynona "Nona" Osburn Thomson (70) of Georgetown, TX, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 14 at The Lighthouse at Altenheim in Round Rock, Texas, after a courageous battle with diabetes. Nona was born on February 18,1942 in Tyler, Arkansas and was the daughter of the late John David Osburn and Zula Isabelle Owen Osburn. She was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School in Benton Harbor, Michigan. After high school, Nona moved to San Diego, CA where she worked as an administrative assistant in the defense industry. She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church. Nona had a passion for genealogy, reading, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.


She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Walden and her husband, Phillip Walden and beloved grandchildren Hannah Celeste Walden and Parker Monroe Walden of Georgetown, TX In addition, she is survived by her three sisters-Wanda Gibson (Carroll) of Paragould, AR, Fleda Shearer of Wilburn, AR, Pat Francis (Glen) of Paragould, AR, and one brother, Frank Osburn (Kathy) of Summerville, SC. Nona was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Mildred Smith, and Betty Billington, and one brother, Kenneth Osburn.


Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, September 21st at 10:30 A.M. at Olmstead Funeral Home with the Reverend Tommy Toombs officiating. Burial will follow at Magness Cemetery.
