Obituary- Emma Weatherly, 73, of Crossett died Friday, January 5, 2007, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Born April 20, 1933, in Crossett to Walter and Ruth Ellen Maxwell Johnson, she was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, a member of Magnolia Baptist Church and was retired from Georgia-Pacific.
Survivors include three sons, Mack Weatherly and wife Marlene and David Weatherly, all of Crossett, and Jeff Wimberly and wife Vicky of Bella Vista; two daughters, Lynn Deskin and husband Randy of McGehee and Beth Seabourn and husband Joe of Purcell, OK; two brothers, Charles Johnson of Crossett and W. C. Johnson of Bastrop; one sister, Lois Watt of Crossett; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Weatherly.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 7, at 2 p.m. at the Magnolia Baptist Church with Revs. Mike Griffith and Jody Gannaway officiating. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett. Pallbearers were Mack Weatherly, David Weatherly, Jeff Weatherly, Jeff Deskin, Joe Seabourn, Joey Weatherly, Gaylon Kilcrease and Heath Kilcrease.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

Obituary- James "Jimmy" Weatherly, 76, of Crossett died Monday, November 17, 2003, at the Beverly Health Care in Hamburg. Born February 23, 1927, to Joseph Riley Weatherly, Sr., and Seleta Mae Holt in Hamburg, he was a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church were he was the organist for many years. He retired from the Georgia-Pacific tissue mill after many years of service
Survivors include his wife, Emma Weatherly; three sons, Mack Weatherly and wife Marlene, David Weatherly and Jeff Weatherly and wife Vicky, all of Crossett; two daughters, Lynn Weatherly and Randy Deskin of McGehee and Beth Seabourn and husband Joe of Purcell, OK; one sister, Shirley Travis of Crossett; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November19, in the Magnolia Baptist Church with Revs. Jody Gannaway and Gene Thomas officiating. Pallbearers will be Mack, David, Jeff and Dickie Weatherly, Randy Deskin and Joe Seabourn. Burial will follow services at the Mount Zion Cemetery with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
