Jerry Lee Crouch, of Wiseman, Ark., son of the late Author Ernest Crouch and Mary Leona Moser Crouch was born May 20, 1939, in Wiseman. He died April 25, 2009, at the age of 69.
Jerry was united in marriage to Connie G. Wallis on Nov. 13, 1959 in Ash Flat, Ark., and to this union two sons were born.
He spent his working years as a truck driver and equipment operator in construction. He was a member of the Agnos Church of Christ in Agnos, Ark.
He is survived by: his wife, Connie Crouch of Wiseman; two sons, Tony Crouch of Wiseman and Timothy Crouch (Susan) of Wiseman; two sisters, Lola Griffith of Independence, Mo., and Nola Edington (Wilburn) of Wiseman; five grandchildren, Samantha Wilkes of Franklin, Ark., Candace Savio of Columbia, Mo., Leslie Ward of Violet Hill, Ark., Chelsea Crouch of Moberly, Mo., and Megan Crouch of Wiseman, Ark.; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; one infant brother; four half-brothers, Bennie Crouch, Arno Crouch, Jethro Crouch and Glen Nisbett; and two half-sisters, Ana Clanton and Vera Tanner.
Funeral services were held April 28 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Ark. Interment followed in the Wiseman Cemetery at Wiseman, Ark.
Pallbearers were Roger Wallis, Dennis Bookout, Greg Ward, Chris Wilkes, Donnie Bookout and Chad Bookout.
Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.
