PATTERSON, Napoleon Bonapart - (from Cloverdale) Again our hearts have been made sad when God called from us a loved one, Mr. N.B. Patterson. He answered the call Sunday evening at 7 o'clock May 31, 1925 at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 27 days. Uncle Bone, as he was known, will be greatly missed in this community. He leaves to mourn his departure one son, John Patterson, three daughters, Mrs. Farmer Miller, Mrs. Albert Graham and Miss Dove Patterson, with whom he lived. All were at his side when death came. He also leaves a brother and a host of friends. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at Pleasant Hill under the direction of J.W. Bryant and services were conducted by Rev. Renfro and Rev. Hendrix. Interment was made in the Rogers cemetery by the side of his wife.

Napoleon Bonapart Patterson, better known as "Uncle Bone," was born in Medford county, Tennessee Aug. 5, 1851, departed this life May 31, 1925 at the age of 73 years and 26 days. He had been a patient sufferer for several weeks but the kindly ministration of friends and loved ones made his last days easier to bear. He was married to Mattie S. Huffman Dec. 12, 1878 and to this union was born three children, Mrs. Albert Graham, Mrs. Farmer Miller and John J. Patterson, all of whom are still living and were at his bedside when he passed away. The mother of this family died Aug. 6, 1889. He then married Polly Ann Cox and to this union was born two children, one dying in infancy and the other, Dovie, with whom he made his home. He came to Benton county with his parents when only 2 years of age, settling on Pea Ridge. Another of our old landmarks has been felled by the grim reaper, Death. He will be greatly missed for he was a kind friend and loving father.

PATTERSON, Mrs. N.B. - Mrs. N.B. Patterson died last Wednesday afternoon at her home south of Rogers and was buried in the Rogers cemetery the following afternoon. We are unable to give any particulars as to her death. She was one of the best known women in that neighborhood and the funeral was very largely attended.
