Rebecca Matilda (Blair) Hall the daughter of Jerome Joseph Blair and Gertrude Mary Jarvis Blair.


MELBOURNE – Rebecca Matilda Blair Hall, 70, of Zion near Sidney died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at her home.

Born March 19, 1931, in Tupper Lake, N.Y., she was the daughter of Jerome Joseph Blair and Gertrude Mary Jarvis Blair. She was a nursing home nurse’s aide and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Utica, N.Y.

Survivors include two sons, Leo Edward Hall of Utica and Roy Allen Hall of Strawberry; four daughters, Gertrude Amelia Henry of Zion, Susan Ruth Moores of Evening Shade, Cynthia Joyce Ruger of Holland Patent, N.Y., and Joyce Cynthia Chambers of Utica; four sisters, Emma Gertrude Blair of Redding, Calif., Maryrita Isabell Wood of Spokane, Wash., and Marietta Betsy Sherman and Barbara Mae Agnes Harvey, both of Utica; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and a sister.

Mass will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend with the Rev. Mike Presskey officiating.

Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery. Arrangements are by Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.

Pallbearers will be Larry W. Henry, Roy Henry, Steven Henry, Albert Moores, Christopher Hall, Timothy Clark, Carroll Moores, Jeremy Hall, Jerome Hall and Larry Chambers.
