Mrs. Bernice "Bunny" Rowden
Bernice (Bunny) Rowden, age 92, of Mountain Home, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in Mountain Home. Mrs. Rowden was born May 7, 1920 in Mountain Home to Jim and Bertha (Studdard) Lance. She married Newell (Pappy) Rowden on January 4, 1939 in Mountain Home. Mrs. Rowden was of the Church of Christ faith. She enjoyed cooking and raising her family.
Bernice (Lance) Rowden is survived by her sons, Larry Rowden, Joe Rowden, William Rowden, Don Rowden, Ralph Rowden, and Vernon Rowden, all of Mountain Home, daughters Emogene Clayton of Mountain Home, Diane Roberts of Flippin, and Donna Jones of California, sisters Cora of Iowa, Naomi and Verna May of Mountain Home, and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Clyde Rowden, James (Pete) Rowden, Raymond Rowden, daughter Ilene Roberts, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Wayne Camp officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 25, 2013 from Noon until 9:00 P.M., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks in Mrs. Rowden's memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
