Mr. Willie Ray Pollock, 66, of Hamburg died Wednesday, December 8, 1999, at the Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. A native of Wilmot, he was a life-long resident of Hamburg, a retired wood cutter, an U. S. Air Force veteran, and a member and deacon of the Faith Baptist Church in Crossett. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Earl Pollock; his parents, Garland and Elvira Holland Pollock; four brothers, Willard, Horace, L. C. and C. W. Pollock; four sisters, Ruby Holland, Sue Holland, Carrie McCauley, and Lorene Morgan; and his grandparents, Isaac and Mary Elizabeth Holland and William and Isabell Pollock. Survivors include his wife, Elsie West Pollock of Hamburg; two sons, Ricky Allen Pollock of Hamburg and Karl Ray Pollock of Crossett; five brothers, Troy Pollock of Anacoco, LA, Alton Pollock of Bastrop, LA, Ludelle, R. L. and Earl Pollock of Hamburg; a sister, Fayrene Rickman of Vidor, TX; eight grandchildren, Rayburn, Misty, Jacqueline and Shawn Pollock of Crossett and Joshua, James, Joey and Blake Pollock of Hamburg; and a great-granddaughter, Destiny Shyanne Pollock of Hamburg. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, December 10, in the Mount Zion Baptist Church with Revs. Alan Eppinette and Dale Jordan officiating. Pallbearers were Mark, Mitch and Owens West, Rodney Coleman, Keith Sistrunk and Tommy Morgan. Honorary pallbearers were Jim Pollock, Ragen Hunter, Lee West, Joey West and Rayburn Pollock. Burial followed services at the Mount Zion Cemetery, directed by Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg.
