Floyd A. Morgan
HARRISBURG -- Floyd A. Morgan, 96, of Harrisburg died Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Woodbriar Nursing Home in Harrisburg.
Born at Parsons, Tenn., he was a retired farmer and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church near Harrisburg.
Survivors include a son, Jack D. Morgan of Harrisburg; 10 grandchildren, Terry Morgan, Joy Morgan, Brenda June St. Clair, Maurice Morgan, Jimmie Douglas, Susie Lacy, Glen Barnes, Will McCrary, Sherry Needham and Sherman "Tiger" Winters; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchilren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Morgan; three sons, Merle Morgan, Gaylon Morgan and Jerry Morgan; three daughters, Shirley McCrary, Brenda Winters and Barbara Nell Morgan; his parents, John and Nannie Hendrix Morgan; three brothers; a sister; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Weston Funeral Service of Harrisburg, with the Rev. Paul Peters officiating. Burial will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park.
His great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
