SPRINGDALE — Paul Gene Pliler, 51, of Springdale was born March 11, 1957, to the union of Charles and Rhoda Mansell Pliler. He went to be with Jesus on Aug. 3, 2008, at the age of 51 years.
He was employed at Springdale Water Utilities, where he worked as a Class II waste-water operator. He attended Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God in Springdale. Paul was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to go fishing and spend time playing with his grandchildren.
Those who survive to mourn his passing are his wife, Sue Pliler of the home; one daughter, Christina and husband Joshua Frederick of Anchorage, Alaska; one son, Michael and fiancee Misty Fouts of Springdale; one adopted daughter, Kara and husband Sherman Bui of Springdale; nine grandchildren, Allison and Anthony Frederick, Khloie and Ethan Pliler, Taylor and Caddin Bui, Gavin and Nathan Fouts and Shyann Pliler; his parents, Charles and Rhoda Pliler of Fayetteville; two sisters, Diane and husband Howard Carter of Farmington, Peggy and husband Dale Stephenson of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Charles and wife Ruth Pliler of Kansas City and Bobby Pliler of Joplin.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today, Aug. 5 at Westfield Chapel in Springdale, online at www.westfieldchapel.com.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Friendship Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Hutcheson officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Heads, Bobby Peden, Joby Elsea, Kevin Evans, Wayne Stephenson and Jason Culpepper.
