SPRINGDALE — Dorothy Marie Fitzgerald, 82, of Springdale died Feb. 28, 2000, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Feb. 14, 1918, in Hobart, Okla., to Walter Robert and Dora Royal Lyde.

She moved to the area 62 years ago from Oklahoma City, Okla. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and the First Baptist Church.

She was a lunchroom supervisor for the Springdale public school system before retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Irvin Fitzgerald, in 1993.

Survivors include one son, Dale Fitzgerald of Springdale; one stepson, Irvin Fitzgerald of Springdale; one daughter, Dorothy Allen of Springdale; two stepdaughters, Loretta Wynns and Barbara Graham, both of Oklahoma City; one brother, Robert Lyde of Hobart; two sisters, Irene Turner of Oklahoma City and Alma McKeone of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Charlie Foster and the Rev. Calvin Bilderback officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present fron 6 to 8 p.m.
