Johnny Earl Jordan, 68, of Crossett died Monday, February 2, 2009. Born on February 27, 1940, in Crossett to Parnell and Willie Bell Hollis Jordan, he retired from Georgia Pacific Corp. in 1996. He loved hunting and was a member of Cloverdale Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Jordan; two daughters, Johnette Hanry and husband Lance and Janel Harper and husband Scott; his father, Parnell Jordan; and four grandchildren, Payton Hanry, Jon Hanry, Colby Harper and Mason Harper, all of Crossett. Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his mother and an infant sister, Barbara Nell Jordan.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, in the Cloverdale Assembly of God with Bros. Justin Uselton and Gene Cullum officiating. Pallbearers were James Harrington, Billy Joe Harrington, Don Baldwin, Sammy Curran, Billy Bolin, Charles Berryman and David Marshall. Honorary pallbearers were Rex Dodson, Gary Edwards, Leland Barnett, Bruen Craig, Willie Brown, Kenneth Knight, Ronnie McDonald, Donnie Jeffers, Carlton Maxwell, Jr., and Stormy Braswell.
Burial followed at Cleveland cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
