Woodrow "Woody" Alderson Aliff, 80 of Springdale, passed from this life April 30, 2007, at the Circle of Life Hospice Home in Springdale. He was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Cool Ridge, W Va to C P and Mary Phipps Aliff.
He served in the US Army Infantry during World War II. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, traveling and reading. He was a retired mechanic.
Woodrow was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Ellen Kilpatrick Aliff.
Survivors include one son, Earl Aliff and wife Comella of Springdale, and one grandson, Brian Aliff of Cave Springs.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm today, May 2 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville, online at www.nelsonberna.com.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday, May 3 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Anglin officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
