Carrie Lou Brown Langston, daughter of the late Green Miller Brown and Samantha Mae Stoneciper Brown, was born August 8, 1941, in Peach Orchard, Missouri. She departed this life on July 24, 2006, in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 16 days.
She was employed by McDonnell Douglas Aircraft, retiring after 25 years of employment. She was united in marriage to Doyne Langston and to this union three children were born. She was a member of the Sage Baptist Church.
Carrie leaves to mourn her passing; two daughters and sons-in-law; Kim and Ronnie Burns of Newark and Beth and Gregg Pinkston of Jonesboro; one son and daughter-in-law; Tim and Tina Langston of Mount Pleasant; three sisters; Lubert Gerber and Virginia Reddock both of Kilgore, Texas and Nancy Burgess of Sage; one brother; John Brown of Sage; nine grandchildren; Zachery Crawford, Nathaniel Crawford, Timmy Langston, Tosha Langston, Levi Langston, Trevor Langston, Seth Pinkston, Noah Pinkston and Sammy Pinkston; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service was held July 26 at the Sage Baptist Church with Doyne Robertson officiating.
Burial will be at Caney Springs Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
