Havis Lee Hunter, 84, of Quitman, died Dec. 9, 2009, at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab.
He was born Jan. 20, 1925, in the Paxton community near Sheridan to Harvey Hunter and Lottie Curtchfield Hunter.
Mr. Hunter was a World War II Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include his daughter, Rose Ellen Freeman and husband Joe of Quitman; sisters, Viva Sowell of Little Rock and Carolyn Morris of Sheridan; brothers, W.C. Hunter of Bauxite and Lonnie Hunter of Little Rock.
Visitation will be tonight at Bishop-Griffin Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m.
Graveside Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Quitman Cemetery with brother Fred Oaks officiating.
