SPRINGDALE — Katie Nelson Porter, 97, of Springdale died Dec. 31, 2006, in Springdale. She was born Feb. 19, 1909, to John Terry and Eva Mae Lawrence Jennings.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Fay Nelson and Raymond Porter, and a daughter, Laura Faye Peacock.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Nelson and wife Jean, Jimmy Nelson and wife Sherlean, both of Springdale; a daughter, Jeanie Byrd of Springdale; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Williams officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale, www.memfuneral.com.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Washington Regional Hospice, 4241 N. Gable Drive, Fayetteville, 72701.
