Imogene Patchell, age 82, of Beebe died Sunday, August 5. She was born April 30, 1925 in Quitman, to the late J. Herman and Hazel Carter Rickman. For 28 years, she was a teacher at Harrisburg Public Schools. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Retired Teachers Organization, Arkansas Education Association, Mother's Club and Home Demonstration Club. She was awarded Excellence in Volunteerism for Poinsett County in 1993 and Outstanding Teacher in 1978-1979.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Patchell in 1990.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Sutherlin and husband Gordon of Beebe and Patrick Patchell and wife Marti of Memphis; grandchildren, Graham Sutherlin and wife Heather of St. Louis, Missouri and Autumn Sutherlin of Abilene, Texas and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Wednesday, August 8, at the chapel of Cabot Funeral Home with Dr. Don England officiating. Burial was Wednesday at Quitman Cemetery.
