Dorotha Geraldine Mulliniks, age 76, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 19, 2011, at the Conway Regional Medical Center. Born in McKinney, Texas, on July 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Dolph and Laura (Tuley) Angle.

Mrs. Mulliniks was a homemaker and had been a resident of Cleburne County since 1974. Her religious belief was Baptist.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Melba Mulliniks, and her parents.

Mrs. Mulliniks is survived by her husband, James Reford Mulliniks of Quitman; one son, Wayne Mulliniks and his wife, Teresa, of Quitman; two daughters, Cathy Hazelwood and her husband, Clay, of Greers Ferry and Kay Berry and her husband, Terry, of Shirley; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Mrs. Mulliniks is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 20, at Olmstead Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 21, at the Quitman First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Quitman Cemetery.

James Reford Mulliniks, age 80, of Quitman, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born in Whiteface, Texas, on May 1, 1931, he was the son of the late John Edward "Ted" Mulliniks and Mattie Corene (Teal) Talent. Mr. Mulliniks was the founder and owner of M&M Trailer Parts in Quitman. After selling his business and retiring, he continued to enjoy working on his farm. Mr. Mulliniks served the Quitman community as a member of the Quitman City Council for 18 years, and he was also active in the Quitman Lunch Bunch. He was a member of the Kaley Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 24 years.

His wife Dorotha Geraldine Mulliniks preceded him in death this year on August 19. Mr. Mulliniks was also preceded in death by his parents, Ted Mulliniks and Mattie Talent; one daughter, Melba Geraldine Mulliniks; one brother, Calvin Mulliniks; three sisters, Devenia Ezell, Ann Robertson, and Deanna Cutsinger; and one great-grandchild, Baby Wadkins. He is survived by one son, Wayne Mulliniks and wife, Teresa, of Quitman; two daughters, Cathy Hazelwood and husband, Clay, of Greers Ferry and Kay Berry and husband, Terry, of Shirley; one brother, Troy Glen Talent; one sister, June Tennison; five grandchildren, Kristy (Guy) Turner, Eddie (Laura) Ragsdale, Keely Mulliniks, Lisa (Jeremy) Wadkins, and Justin Mulliniks; and five great-grandchildren, Silver Mulliniks, Brady Ragsdale, Corey Ragsdale, Temprence Wadkins, and Gage Turner.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 5-8 p.m. at the Olmstead Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Quitman Baptist Church with Bro. Myron Milholland and Bro. Eddie Ragsdale officiating. Interment will follow in the Quitman Cemetery. Chuck Snyder, Steven Leonard, Richard Rothwell, Larry Patterson, John Via, and Larry Parish will serve as pallbearers.
