Funeral services for James D Kelly of El Reno will be held at 10 am Thursday, Oct 12, 2006, at First Baptist Church with Rev James Wylie, pastor of Del Missionary Baptist Church of Lookeba officiating.
Officer Kelly died Sunday, Oct 8, 2006, in El Reno. He was born Feb 8, 1978, in Sapulpa. He grew up in Sapulpa and came to El Reno in August 2003. He married Amanda Baker on March 7, 1998, in Tulsa. He was a police officer with the El Reno Police Department. He was a member of the Beth El Landmark Baptist Church of Guthrie and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda (Baker) Kelly of the home; two sons, Brendan Joshua Kelly and Nicholas James Kelly, and a daughter, Amberlynn Louise Kelly, all of the home; his parents, Bill and Brenda (Williams) Kelly of Bartlesville; a brother, Justin Kelly of Rogers, Ark.; a sister, Patricia Lacy and husband, Richard Lacy of Coweta; maternal grand-parents, James and Oleta McDaniel of Sapulpa; paternal grandparent, Pat Kelly of Scottsbluff, Neb.; in-laws, Dr D R Baker and wife, Brenda of Edmond; brother-in-law, Daniel Baker and wife, Tracie of Little Rock, Ark; nephews, Richard Lacy, Jr and Blake Lacy of Coweta; numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bank of Union, 2000 S Country Club, El Reno, Okla 73036, for Amanda Kelly.
