YOUNG, Jennie Cliburn - Mrs. Jennie Cliburn Young, age 84 years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mollie Kindley, in Gravette Wednesday morning, November 16, 1927. Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon with interment in the Maysville cemetery. Mrs. Young was said to be the oldest native born woman in Benton county, being born in McPhail Valley, west of Gravette, in 1843, where she grew to womanhood. She was married to James Cliburn and to them were born two children, Mrs. Mollie Kindley and Mrs. Emma Jackson. On the death of her husband she later married Oliver Young. They lived for some time on the place now occupied by R.W. Cook, just southeast of Bentonville. They later moved to Pea Ridge where Mr. Young died. Mrs. Young moved to Gravette about 30 years ago and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Kindley. Attorney W.O. Young, Mrs. Ella Mason and Miss Maude Young, all of Bentonville and Ed Young of Pea Ridge are nieces and nephews of the deceased.

YOUNG, Jane McPHAIL - Mrs. Jane McPhail Young, 85 years old, mother of Mrs. Mary Kindley of Gravette and grandmother of Mrs. Marion Wasson, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kindley, in Gravette last Wednesday, November 16, 1927. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Friday afternoon conducted by her pastor, Rev. E.H. Osborne, assisted by Rev. A.T. Mays. It was said that Mrs. Young was the oldest native born woman in Benton county. Her parents came from Scotland, settling near Maysville in what later became known as the McPhail Valley.
