Newton Henry* Callis, 32, of Gentry, died April 25, 1991, in Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Callis was born Oct. 15, 1958, in Gravette to Louise Callis.
He was a Gentry resident for two years, and a lifetime resident of northwest Arkansas. Callis was affiliated with the First Baptist Church and the Harvard Avenue Baptist Church in Siloam Springs.
Survivors include his mother, Louise Callis of Gentry; a sister, Nancy Thomason of Muskogee, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Gentry by the Rev. Joe Finfrock. Burial will be in Maysville Cemetery by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
