FAIR, Sarah Altha - Sarah Altha Fair was born in Ellis county, Texas Jan. 30th, 1876. Professed religion and joined the Methodist Church at Bethel in Benton county, Ark. in 1889 and lived a consistent christian until her death which occurred March 30th, 1897. During her short life she made many friends. If she had an enemy we do not know it. She seemed to have the confidence of all who knew her. Knowing her better than anyone else could know her we can say we believe she was what she professed to be - a sincere disciple of Christ. There was no cause to doubt her piety. She bore her sufferings patiently though she had a great "desire to depart and be with Christ." Her friends were very kind to her and us, for which they will please accept our thanks. We hope to never forget their kindness. We hope, too, that it may be a long time before there is an opportunity to repay that kindness under like circumstances. We sorrow, but not as those who have no hope. We are bruised, but not broken. We have one relative less on earth; one more in Heaven. Farewell, dear child, for a time. Father and Mother.

FAIR, Altha - (from Seba) S.T. Fair and family, Mrs. J.J. Coley and Mrs. Pitts Womack attended the funeral of Altha Fair, who departed this life on the 30th ult. Her remains were interred in Bethel cemetery next day, Rev. Jas. Holland conducting the services.
