COLONA, Ill. Richard Laverne Yarrington, 60, of Colona, Ill., died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, in Silvis, Ill.
Born Nov. 3, 1946, in Princeton, Ill., he was the son of Max Duke Yarrington and Ruby Mae Yarrington. He was united in marriage to Linda Johnson on July 22, 1989. He was a mechanic.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cornia Ibikounle and Anita Espinoza, both of East Moline, Ill., and Sandy Yarrington of Wisconsin; three stepsons, Rodney Becht, Dennis Becht and Doug Becht, all of Quad City, Ill; a brother, George Yarrington of Melbourne; a sister, Doris Brasmer of Milan, Ill.; and eight grandchildren, Holly Yarrington, Jordan Yarrington, Joel Espinoza, Mark Espinoza, Adam Becht, Joshua Becht, Brittney Becht and Aimee Becht.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Allen Lee Yarrington; a sister, Barbara Ann McGuire; and a grandson, Byron Cummins.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Combs Cemetery with Michael Conyers officiating. Arrangements are by Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Paul Duckson, Tim Duckson, Jimmy Holland, George Yarrington, George Miller and Papa Mowery.
