William Warren Wade, son of the late Charley and Ethel Pearson Wade, was born May 6, 1922 in Cushman. He died April 24, 1997, in Batesville. He was 74.
Mr. Wade was united in marriage to Avanell Irene Smith in Twin Creek. To this union two daughters and three sons were born. He spent his life as a farmer. He was employed by Hipp Lumber and retired from Banquet Foods. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Elmer Ray Wade and Dois Wayne Wade, both of Batesville; one sister, Mary Tosh of Batesville; one brother, Junior R. Wade of Batesville; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Kay Wade and Edith Mae Wade; one son, William Loyde Wade; two sisters, and four brothers. Funeral services were held April 26, 1997, at the Combs Cemetery Community Building with Brother Jimmy Richardson officiating.
Pallbearers were: Boyce Gillihan, Junior Gillihan, George Gillihan, Shelby Gillihan, Clifton Gillihan, and Charles Smith.
Interment was at Combs Cemetery under the direction of the Eddie Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
