MELBOURNE – Junior Travis Stroud, 76, of Melbourne died Monday, March 7, 2005, in a Melbourne nursing home.
Born April 28, 1928, in Knob Creek, he was the son of Levi and Nellie Byler Stroud. He was an auto and body mechanic, worked for O.B. London's Body Shop and operated the East Side Garage in Melbourne. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having attained the rank of corporal. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include two sons, Travis Stroud of Huntsville, Texas, and Tim Stroud of Cushman; two daughters, Fern Vickery of Sage and Debra Harris of Melbourne; nine grandchildren, Amy Jines, Laura Lawrence, Marcus Stroud, Wesley Stroud, Brandon Stroud, Lee Harris, Zach Harris, Mathew Stroud and Jeremy Stroud; and two great-grandchildren, Landon Jines and John Stroud.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas Stroud; and a sister, Hazel Cantrell.
Burial will be in Combs Cemetery.
