Michael Arlin Sherrell, son of James Harlen Sherrell and Mary Gaye Jeffery Gillihan, was born November 25, 1960 in Kansas City, MO. He died October 22, 1999 in Independence, MO. He was 38. Mr. Sherrell worked for and managed Maaco Body Shop. Survivors include; two sons, Stefan Michael Sherrell of Independence, MO, and Corey Masson of Melbourne; his father, James Sherrell of MO; and his mother and her husband, Mary and Clevis Gillihan of Fenton, MO; two sisters, Linda Bridgeman Malone of Batesville, AR, and Connie Campbell of Melbourne; one brother, Scottie Lynn Sherrell of Gravis Mills, MO; two grandchildren, C.J. and Brianna Masson of Melbourne; seven nieces, Tonya Gilpatrick, Brooks, Mary, and Megan Bridgeman, all of Batesville; Maggie Campbell of Melbourne; Anna and Ashley Sherrell of MO; three nephews, Rusty Campbell of Melbourne; Scottie and William Sherrell of Missouri; two great-nieces, Shelby and Jodi Gilpatrick of Batesville; and his first wife, Tammy Sherrell Richie. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert ad Myrtle Sherrell and Leslie and Audell Jeffery. Funeral services were held Oct. 26, 1999 at the Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with the Reverend Tony Colburn officiating. Pallbearers were Rusty Campbell, Randy Sherrell, Russell Sherrell, David Sherrell, Greg Sherrell, and Allen Sherrell. Interment was in Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
