Funeral services for Sallie V. Savell, 95, of Melbourne were held Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004 at the Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne. Bro. Steve Stevenson officiated. Burial was in the Combs Cemetery in Melbourne.
Savell, born Aug. 11, 1909 to Wyatt Pinkney and Nancy Isabella McAdams Atkins in Pea Ridge, Miss., died Nov. 18, 2004 at the Pioneer Nursing and Rehab in Melbourne.
She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith.
her in death were her parents, her husband William Douglas Savell; four sons William Jerry Savell, Larry Wayne Savell Sr., Lawrence Theodore Savell Sr. and Ralph Edward Savell; five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include one daughter Sallie Louise Hill of Fayetteville; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Bob Kruel, H.B. Rodman, Rocky Campbell, Alvin Jeffery, Lloyd Jeffery and Rick Hoskinds.
Honorary pallbearers were Sam Sharp, Jeff Mitchell, Richard Wallace, and Johnnie Neal.
Howard Funeral Home directed services.
