Delbert Franklin Mitchell, age 66, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away April 16, 2008 at his residence. Born October 17, 1941 in Dyer, Tennessee, he was the son of Helen Marie Cunningham Mitchell and the late George Delbert Mitchell. He was a brick layer by trade and a member of West Pangburn Community Church.
His hobbies included taking long walks, fishing , working with flowers, gardening and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Delbert Mitchell and one brother, Roger Dale Mitchell.
Survivors include Mother, Helen Marie Stewart of Dyer Tennessee, his wife, Karen McDaniel Mitchell of Heber Springs, Arkansas; one son, Kevin Mitchell of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two daughters, Deneen (Lonny) Pruitt of Memphis, Tennessee and Sheawanna (Larry) Rhea of Heber Springs, Arkansas; three sister, Wanda Hildreth of Medina, Tennessee, Sheena Decker of Trenton, Tennessee and Christy Wallace of Dyer, Tennessee; four grandchildren, William Bradley Pruitt of Memphis, Tennessee, Michael Andrew Dorsey, Dillon Thaddeus Dorsey and Hannah Alexandra Rhea all of Heber Springs, Arkansas and many friends.
Pallbearers are Lonny Pruitt, Bradley Pruitt, Larry Rhea, Dillon Dorsey, Michael Dorsey and John Taylor.
Visitation will be held April 17, 2008 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm, Friday, April 18, 2008 at Good Springs Cemetery near Heber Springs with Brother Steve Jones officiating.
