Aubrey Junior Polk, the son of William Aubrey and Mildred Nettie Self Polk, was born in Marvell, Arkansas, on August 7, 1938, and passed away in Searcy, Arkansas, on April 7, 2007, at the age of 68 years.
Mr. Polk was a machine operator for Union Carbide Company. He was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Aubrey LaDell Polk.
Survivors are his wife, Connie Sue (Reed) Polk; two daughters, Donna Lyn Westbrook of St. Paul, North Carolina, and Kerri Cheri Fortner of Pangburn; one sister, Linda Carol Heater of El Centro, California; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, besides other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be Monday, April 9, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Olmstead Funeral Home, and funeral will be graveside at Goodsprings Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday by A. J. Arnold. Pallbearers were Tony Strode, Terrence Strode, Benjamin Westbrook, Dustin Polk, Jackie Polk, Devin King and honorary pallbearer Jimmy Reed. Arrangements by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc. www.olmstead.cc
