Clyce Johnson of Melbourne, daughter of the late Clyde and Velma (Thomas) Blount was born on September 12, 1916 at Banner, Mississippi. She died Wednesday, May 3, 1995, at her residence at the age of 78.
She was married to the late Ben Johnson and spent her life as a homemaker. She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church at Melbourne.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by five sisters, Faye O'Goin of Flint, Michigan; Claire Ramsey and Pauline Ridge both of Batesville; Baye Copeland of Lennon, Michigan; and Naomi Jones of Melbourne; two brothers, Darrell Blount of Fort Pierce, Florida; and Voyne Bob Blount of Sidney and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and one brother.
Services were May 6 at Midway Baptist Church in Melbourne with Joe Jackson and Ralph Allmon officiating.
Pallbearers were nephews, Herman (Bud) Ridge, Darrell Lynn Blount, David Blount, Dennis Blount, Darrell Allen Blount and Douglas Jones.
Interment was at Reeves Cemetery in Guion under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
