Maurice Derdeyn Jr.
Maurice Leonard Derdeyn Jr., 76, of Siloam Springs, died Tuesday, April 27, 1993, in Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Jan. 25, 1917, in Midland, Texas, to Maurice L. Derdeyn Sr. and Lucille Hall Derdeyn.

Mr. Derdeyn had lived in Siloam Springs for the last 33 years, and was the former store manager for J. C. Penney and Co. in Siloam Springs for over 18 years, and Hollis, Okla. He had been an assistant store manager for J.C. Penney and Co. in Durant, Okla., and Neosho, Mo.

Mr. Derdeyn was a member of the Siloam Springs Golf Club and a former member of the Kiwanis Club in Siloam Springs. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Siloam Springs. He was raised in the Fort Smith area.

Survivors include his wife, Lollie Dorsery Derdeyn of the home; one son, Richard L. Lambden of Colleyville, Texas; two daughters, Margaret Jan Milsap of Siloam Springs and Debbie Akins of Little Rock; seven granddaugheters; three great-grandsons; three brothers, Robert Derdeyn of Oklahoma City, Okla., Jack Derdeyn of Fort Worth, Texas, and Donald Derdeyn of Dallas; two sisters, Blanche Blackburn of Jonesboro, and Marguerite Radkiewize of Moline, Ill.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Rosary service will be held at Wasson Memorial Chapel at 7 p.m. today. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Siloam Springs, with the Rev. William J. Moran, S.J., as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetary, Siloam Springs, with services under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

SILOAM SPRINGS — Lollie M. Derdeyn, 88, of Siloam Springs died March 12, 2007, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was born Nov. 4, 1918, in Utica, Okla., to Thomas Abb Dorsey and Nellie Bacon Dorsey. She moved to Siloam Springs in 1959 from Hollis, Okla. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs. She was retired from Simmons Industries, where she worked as a payroll clerk. She was the city clerk for Durant, Okla., for eight years. She enjoyed playing bridge. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Lambden and her second husband, Maurice Derdeyn.

Survivors include one son, Richard Lambden and wife Paula of Colleyville, Texas; two daughters, Jan Millsap and husband Hal of Springdale and Debbie Scacewater and husband Rick of Joplin, Mo.; one sister, Tinsy Kunkel of Grand Prairie, Texas; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs with Dr. Randy Rowlan officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, 906 Jones Road, Springdale, 72762.
