MELBOURNE — Haskell M. Morehead, 77, of Melbourne died Sunday, May 20, 2012, in Mountain Home.
Born Oct. 23, 1934, in Red Hill, he was the son of Wesley and Allie Rush Morehead. He was united in marriage to Sarah Tate on April 12, 1969. He was employed as a forklift operator for Century Flooring, retiring after 22 years of employment. After retirement, he worked for the Melbourne School District as a groundskeeper. He was of the Assembly of God faith and was a member of Melbourne Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include a son, Eric Morehead of Melbourne; a daughter, Lisa Ault of Fayetteville; a brother, Mervela Morehead of Yakima, Wash.; a sister, Joyce Anderson of Batesville; and six grandchildren, Austin Morehead, Kaitlyn Morehead, Hollie Morehead, Keegan Ault, Michael Ault and Sarah Ann Ault.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 32 years; three brothers, Berlin Morehead, Herman Morehead and Edla Morehead; two sisters, Christine Hellums and Mazell Melton; and a granddaughter, Kyla Morehead.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Chris Bigness and Arlis Strong officiating. Burial will be in Combs Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Pallbearers will be Herley Morehead, Lowell Melton, Jerry Arnold, Rick Haney, Jim Phipps and Gerald Cooper.
Honorary pallbearers are Graden Melton, Glen Billingsley, Kelly Powell, Don Tate, Rayburn Tate, Greg Tate, Mick Tate, Delmo Tate and Robert Hamilton.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
Memorials may be made to Hospice House of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
