Obituary
Doyle G. Rainwater, 70, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was owner of Rainwater's Clothing in Fort Smith and Fayetteville, a deacon for Faith Assembly of God in Fort Smith, past president of Fort Smith Rotary, a member of Gideons International, former general manager of the Times Record and former vice president of First Federal Savings and Loan.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith Assembly of God with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Janette; a daughter, Linda Huber of Tulsa; two sons, Paul and Gail Rainwater, both of Fort Smith; a sister, Vera Shepard of Elkins; four brothers, Ralph Rainwater of Arkadelphia, Glen Rainwater of Uniontown, Vernon Rainwater of Prairie Grove and Carroll Rainwater of Fayetteville; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Virgil, Calvin, Dale, Mike, Rick and John Rainwater.
The family will visit with friends 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
