MELBOURNE – Frank L. Faulkner, 68, of Melbourne died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Batesville.Born May 3, 1933, in Rose Hill, Iowa, he was the son of Leland and Ethel DeWitt Faulkner. He was a licensed funeral director and also worked at Sentinel Industries for many years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Melbourne and past member of First Baptist Church of Calico Rock. He was commander and quartermaster of the Wilson-Byler Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7730, a member of the board of directors for the Medical Center of Calico Rock, and a member of the Calico Rock Lions Club and the Calico Rock volunteer fire department.Survivors include his wife, Reta Faulkner; a son, Eric Faulkner of Norfork; two daughters, Debbie Faulkner of Mountain Home and Florence Brammlett of Washington; a brother, Ronnie Faulkner of Monrovia, Calif.; two sisters, Naomi Ellis of Oskaloosa, Iowa, and June Bird of Riverside, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, including Michele Grider of Margate, Fla., Steven Sanders of Texarkana, Texas, Kelly Faulkner of Pennsauken, N.J., Robert Pawlak of Florida, Joseph Pawlak and Sarah Faulkner, both of Mountain Home, Blake Faulkner of Norfork, Brittany Farquharson, C.J. Farquharson and Frankie Farquharson, all of Washington; and a great-grandchild, Luke Vest of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Lyle Faulkner; four brothers, Lee Faulkner, Elvin Faulkner, Jimmy Lee Faulkner and Edward Faulkner; and a sister, Laverne Van Drimmelen.The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Roman and Billy Howard Memorial Chapel in Melbourne with Doyne Robertson officiating. Burial will be in Combs Cemetery with arrangements by Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne.
