Barto Marveggio
Barto Marveggio, 63, of Siloam Springs, died Monday, May 31, 1993, at the St. Edwards Mercy Medical Center, Fort Smith.
He was born Aug. 28, 1929 in Siloam Springs, the son of Joe Marveggio and Maggie Florence Place Marveggio. He married Dorothy Daring on June 28, 1957, in Siloam Springs. He was a truck driver for Allen Canning Co., a farmer and had been a general factory laborer. He was a member of the Siloam Springs Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, the Northwest Arkansas Laryngectomy Club, and a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Lee of Decatur and Bartina Springer of Siloam Springs; one son, Brad Marveggio of Siloam Springs; his mother, Maggie Florence Marveggio of Siloam Springs; three brothers, Robert Marveggio of Forrest, Miss., Therlow Marveggio of Colcord, Okla., and Joe D. Marveggio of Siloam Springs; two sisters, Jettie Franco of Tontitown and Maggie Lou Huffman of Charleston, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday, June 3, at 3 p.m. at the Bethel United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery. The Rev. A.P. Vohs and the Rev. William Cheyne will officiate the services under the direction of BackstromPyeatte Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
Visitation will be Wednesday with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.
