Betty Jean "Pat" Dodd, 72, of Hamburg, wife of James W. Dodd, died Monday, September 3, 2007, at her residence. Born on December 19, 1934, in Heavenor, OK, to Jackson Lon and Martha Ellen Little Sietz, Mrs. Dodd was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Lonnie, Cecil, Jay L., Jack, Joe and Bill; and one sister, Murrell Jane.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years; one daughter, Lois Ann Schwen and husband Jack of Sulphur Springs, TX; five grandchildren, James Schwen, Jacob Schwen, Joshua Schwen, Grace Schwen and Faith Schwen; and nieces and nephews, Jack Seitz, Jr., John Seitz, Bobby Seitz, Donna Ragland, Phyllis Dodgin, Joann Kapella, Patricia Holloman, and Nancy Seitz.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 6, at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Mitchell, Jr., officiating. Burial followed at the Carter Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
