Hilton Shepherd
SILOAM SPRINGS — Hilton Frances Shepherd, 84, of Siloam Springs died Aug. 27, 2006, at Concordia Care Center in Bella Vista. She was born Dec. 13, 1921, in Delhi, La., to Oliver Clifton and Della Griffith Bass. She was a retired office worker and a member of Harvard Avenue Baptist Church in Siloam Springs. She lived in Laredo, Texas, as well as Wichita, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Shepherd, in 1987.
Survivors include one son, Gary Michael Shepherd of Rogers; one daughter, Della R. Jones of Wichita, Kan.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Pat H, Bass of Carlsgold, Calif.; three sisters, Ofa J. Hopkins of Apex, N.C., Naomi Machen of Memphis, Tenn., and Elaine Barnette of Austin, Texas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with the Rev. Dan Crenshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
